Brief

Barco Products is a manufacturer and retailer of a wide range of products. Their exiting website wasn’t performing to expectations. We partnered with them to modernize this previously catalog-based business by expanding their online reach.

Solution

By moving Barco to a franchised site model, we helped turn this one-site company into a multi-site eCommerce success, increasing order volumes and opening the door to future growth. Individual micro-sites were created to reach target markets more directly.

Branding

Individual brands were created to help Barco expand their online reach and better target their customers.  Logos were created for each subsidiary.
Each brand was created to resonate with the market of a specific product line, while adhering to an overarching branding guide for the enterprise.

Websites

The franchising initiative was composed of launching several websites based on the company’s most popular product lines. A streamlined customer experience quickly led to improved conversion and immediate success. The success of the first microsite provided a well performing interface for replication on additional sites.

Picnic Tables

Picnic Tables was the first product category we converted to a micro-site. This product line was the most popular and had one of the best profit margins, so we started here.

Bench Factory

After the first site was optimized, we converted it to a template and built the next website using the same framework. The next best category to convert to a micro-site was benches.

Speedbumps & Humps

Immediately following the launch of the second site we began construction on the next. This time we used the speedbumps category to create another niche specific micro-site.

Park It Bike Racks

By the fourth site we had streamlined the replication process and started building micro-sites at a much faster rate. The next category in line was bike racks.

Trash Containers

Feedback collected from the first few sites were packaged into a 2.0 version of the franchise framework. This upgraded framework was used to build the micro-site for the trash container category.

Mats for Less

The floor mat product line was next and launches were like clockwork at this point. The previously launched sites were generating sales beyond expectation, so we continued with our launches.

Information Centers

Information centers was one of the last micro-sites built for this franchise endeavor. There were a couple more after this one, but we think you get the point by now. The conversion of categories to micro-sites was working exceptionally well.

Automation

Developing a management system to control inventories and orders across multiple franchised websites was a challenge. With the hard work of our development team, we built a custom administrative portal to do just that.

Niche Admin

With 16 online stores on one franchised network, administration was critical. We built a proprietary ecommerce management platform similar to Magento or Shopify yet specific to the way in which Barco Products operated.

I have always regarded Peacock Studios as a professional and trustworthy agency.

They should have pride in the systems they built for us, as they have served us well.
